“Just a gangster, I suppose…”

Thanks to a tip from Rake Blog Baltimore correspondent Adam Rosen, it has come to my attention that the Baltimore City Deputy Police Commissioner is named — wait for it — A. Barksdale. His name is “Anthony” rather than “Avon,” but the coincidence is still pretty awesome.

The Baltimore Sun article that alerted Rosen to this wonderful development is about how homicides are down 28% in Body-More compared to this time last year. My first assumption was that the B-More PD was jooking the stats, but Baltimore County resident Willie Trebach has informed me of what’s actually going on:
