In 2002, Pizza Hut hired the band Ween to write a jingle for its new product, the Insider Pizza, which featured the “They had to do it at some point!” concept of a pizza, a layer of cheese, and then another pizza. Shockingly, Pizza Hut was unimpressed with the the band’s submission, the profanity-laced ditty, “Where’d The Motherfuckin’ Cheese Go?” which features seven instances of the word “Fuck,” one “Bitch” and no mention of “Pizza.” Quoth Gene Ween: “Basically, Pizza Hut just backed out on the ad agency at the last minute. They got fired and we got fired. It was a simple as that. We do stuff like that on and off.“
Luckily, the Internet is there to preserve such treasures from being lost to the bowels of history, as someone has taken the time to create a stop-motion music video for the 40-second track featuring Lego characters swearing at one another about their inability to locate the titular motherfuckin’ cheese. Enjoy!
